      Globe Advent         14

Our Globe Advent treat for the start of the week features a wintry ditty from As You Like It.

We might be facing a winter quite like no other this year, but we hope you can join us in the warmth and cosiness of the candlelit Sam Wanamaker Playhouse, as we relive one of Shakespeare’s iconic songs, Heigh-Ho! The Holly, from our Summer 2019 production of As You Like It, and recall those warm summer memories in the December frost.

With thanks to James Maloney for arrangement and piano, and Tanika Yearwood for vocals.

Heigh-ho! sing, heigh-ho! unto the green holly:
Most friendship is feigning, most loving mere folly:
Then, heigh-ho, the holly!
This life is most jolly.
