This production of Macbeth took place in the Globe Theatre in 2020 as part of our Playing Shakespeare with Deutsche Bank project.
This was then made available via YouTube for free in 2020 – the production was viewed over 471,500 times during a time when many students were learning from home. Many free resources were released for the original production and its streaming and you can use this page to browse and download these for free.

Deutsche Bank has supported an annual Playing Shakespeare production in the Globe Theatre since 2007.The 90-minute production, created especially for a schools audience, is complemented with free workshops and online activities.
18,000 London and Birmingham state secondary school students were given free tickets to this year’s Macbeth. 33,000 people saw the production before the run was interrupted in March. Over 200,000 students have been given free tickets to see Playing Shakespeare productions at the Globe.
