Large Group Coaching: The Winter’s Tale

This event has now passed.

This hour long session will be led by Yolanda Vazquez who played Hermione in our production of The Winter’s Tale in the Globe Theatre in 2005.

This session will start with Yolanda putting the speech into the context of the play, and in its performance context at the Globe. She will then demonstrate her approaches to working with the text. Following that, one of our movement practitioners will explore physical approaches that can be used to unlock the meaning within the speech. Finally, the same speech will be worked by one of our voice practitioners, who will suggest appropriate vocal choices that can be used to access the character and enhance the story being told.

By working with the text, the body and the voice you really will be harnessing the full storytelling potential shared by players at the Globe.

Yolanda is an Actor, Director and Coach. She joined Shakespeare’s Globe in 1999 to play Adriana in A Comedy Of Errors and appeared in many more productions. Yolanda is a Globe Education Practitioner and Globe Higher Education Consultant – working with and directing many students, teachers, actors and directors both nationally and internationally, most recently in Brazil and Mexico.

This is an online session for up to 50 participants. It is not an interactive session, your microphones will be muted.
