As the Globe concludes its year-long cycle of history plays, we consider the place of this complicated genre in performance today. How do plays with a reputation for exclusive focus on white male Englishness speak to current artistic and political concerns?

This event, supported by the London Shakespeare’s Centre, will bring artists from the 2019-20 Globe Ensemble together with three early-career scholars for an interdisciplinary conversation.

Confirmed speakers: Hailey Bachrach, Anna Hegland, Dr Emer McHugh, Philip Arditti, Nina Bowers, and Steffan Donnelly.

Tickets are free but please book to reserve a place.

Running time: approximately 1 hour 30 minutes
