Small Group Coaching: Cymbeline

This event has now passed.

Lasting one hour, and with only four participants, this online session is structured to allow all four participants to choose and present one of four selected speeches from Cymbeline and receive feedback from Globe faculty member, Philip Bird

The presence of other actors in the session means you will also be able to reflect on feedback offered to your peers, just like you would in a rehearsal room.

You will be working with Philip Bird. Philip has been a professional actor for over thirty years. He first performed at the Globe site in 1995, and has since worked here as an actor, as a director of rehearsed readings for the Read Not Dead project, and as a Higher Education consultant for undergraduate and postgraduate acting programmes. His acting credits for the Globe include The Merry Wives of Windsor, As You Like It, The Merchant of Venice, The Winter’s Tale, Troilus and Cressida, King John and Cymbeline.

You can choose one of the following four speeches to present and receive feedback on in the session;

Queen, 1.5, line 45: ‘ Weeps she still (say’st thou?)’

Iachimo, 2.2, line 11: ‘The Crickets sing’

Posthumus, 2.5, line 1: ‘ Is there no way for Men to be’

Imogen, 3.6, line 1: ‘ I see a man’s life is a tedious one’.
