Welcome to Shakespeare's Globe

Shakespeare’s Globe is a world-renowned theatre, education centre, and cultural landmark, located on the bank of the River Thames in London, UK. Whilst our doors are closed, we are still very much open, online, providing Shakespeare for all.

Shakespeare’s Globe has been and continues to be committed to racial justice.

Shakespeare’s work has been put to sinister use in the past, co-opted by white nationalism and still stands as an icon of white excellence for many. But Shakespeare is for all. Shakespeare’s Globe is antiracist and believes Black Lives Matter. We stand in solidarity with our friends who strive for racial justice across the globe. We are always striving to do more. We sometimes fail, but we also learn, and we want to work against systemic racism.

Please visit Black Lives Matter for ways you can help.
