Transforming our Sam Wanamaker Playhouse into a recording studio
Our candlelit Playhouse has been kitted out with filming equipment to capture performances, events, courses and discussions for audiences around the world to enjoy online
With our third Shakespeare and Race festival about to go online this weekend from 21 – 23 August, we go behind the scenes to see how we turned our candlelit Sam Wanamaker Playhouse into a recording studio to capture and film content as part of a new series of online programming.
Our buildings may have been closed since March due to Coronavirus, but we’ve been creating new ways of sharing our work with you to enjoy from your very own homes. We’ve been collaborating with video production and live streaming company Karma to bring our playhouses to you during this time, allowing people to attend our performances, events, courses and discussions online, wherever they are in the world.
FINIS.
Our Shakespeare and Race festival takes place online with a series of events, workshops and discussions from 21 – 23 August 2020. Find out more and book your tickets.
