MEMBERSHIP TERMS & CONDITIONS

Memberships are non-refundable.

In the event that you sign-up to pay for your membership via Direct Debit and then fail to pay for your membership, any tickets booked during Priority Booking periods which fall within the duration of your membership will be cancelled and refunded.

All Membership benefits are subject to availability and/or change.

It is the Members responsibility to contact the Membership Office in the event their Membership benefits or materials have not been provided or delivered.

As part of your membership, you will be contacted by us regarding your membership benefits – it is the Member’s responsibility to contact the Membership Office should they wish to not be contacted regarding their Membership.

GIFT MEMBERSHIP TERMS & CONDITIONS

Gift cards are valid until the expiry date printed on the front of the gift card and can be redeemed to procure a UK Friend Membership (£50) or an International Friend Membership (£75).

The gift cards cannot be exchanged for cash or used for tickets for Shakespeare’s Globe productions. Lost gift cards will not be replaced.

This Gift Card cannot be used to set up a Direct Debit Membership.

All terms and conditions for standard memberships still apply to Gift Memberships.

BECOME A MEMBER – SUMMER 2023 LAUNCH COMPETITION

These terms and conditions apply to our competition to win one of 50 exclusive welcome gift packages when you become a Shakespeare’s Globe Member.

Competition period:

This competition will run from Wednesday 18 January until Tuesday 7 February, 10am.

The prize:

There will be 50 winners who each will win one (1) prize. The ‘prize’ consists of:

  • a tote bag,
  • a signed programme of a Summer 2023 production
  • two (2) cushion hire vouchers (to be redeemed against cushion hire at Shakespeare’s Globe,
  • a reproduction copy of a First Folio play,
  • two (2) 50ml taster bottles of Seedlip non-alcohol spirit
  • A printed recipe card for a Globe-inspired cocktail
  • A limited edition (of 50) print, with certificate of authenticity

Shakespeare’s Globe reserves the right to alter the prize or replace elements of the prize with alternatives of a similar or higher value. Shakespeare’s Globe will endeavour to ensure that the signed programme issued is related to a production that the winner is attending but cannot guarantee this. There is no cash alternative and the prize is non-transferable.

The prize must be collected from Shakespeare’s Globe at a time mutually agreed by both parties between 27 April – 29 October (generally on a day when the winner is attending a performance). Postage/delivery is not included within the prize.

How to enter:

Customers will be entered into the prize draw automatically if they fulfil the following criteria:

(a) purchase a membership of Shakespeare’s Globe within the competition period (not including membership for The Shakespeare globe Centre USA), and

(b) make a purchase within the competition period for at least one ticket for one of the following productions in Shakespeare’s Globe’s 2023 season : A Midsummer Night’s Dream, The Comedy of Errors, Macbeth, As You Like It

All entrants will have one (1) entry regardless of how many tickets were purchased during the competition period.

The competition is not open to staff of The Shakespeare Globe Trust.

If an entrant subsequently cancels their membership and/or ticket purchase and requests a refund or credit voucher, Shakespeare’s Globe reserves the right to remove their entry from the competition or void their win and offer their prize to another entrant.

How winners are chosen

50 winners will be drawn at random from the pool of eligible entrants following the closing date. Winners will be notified by email (using the email registered on their Shakespeare’s Globe account) by 1 March 2023 and will have 14 days to confirm acceptance of their prize.

If we do not receive confirmation from any winners within the 14 day period, their prize will be offered to another entrant.

There is no cash alternative to the prize and the prize is non-transferable.

PRIORITY BOOKING – SUMMER 2023 LAUNCH COMPETITION

  • two (2) cushion hire vouchers (to be redeemed against cushion hire at Shakespeare’s Globe,
