Drop off and Collection Policy

For safeguarding purposes, we ask parents to disclose how their child will be dropped off and collected from the Globe Theatre on the booking form

If there is going to be an alternate method of collection we ask that parents/carers let us know in writing at least 48 hours before the session. We will not release children to any other person without first speaking to the authorised parents/carers.

In the event of lateness for collection we will attempt to:

  • contact the parent/carers on the telephone numbers they have provided;
  • call emergency contacts if parents/carers cannot be reached, so an authorised adult can come and collect the child.

If for any reason your child is not collected by an authorised adult and no contact has been established within 45 minutes of the usual collection time, we will follow our child protection procedures and contact the Multi-Agency Safeguarding Hub (MASH) on 020 7525 1921 (or an out of hours social worker, on 020 7525 5000).

While the child remains uncollected we will keep them at Shakespeare’s Globe Box Office/Reception Desk in the care of a member of the Globe staff.

Proof of Age

Photographic ID will be requested to confirm the age of the participants.
